At Capital Ottawa Furniture & Mattress, we aim to provide fast and reliable shipping and delivery services to ensure your furniture arrives safely and on time. Please review our Shipping & Delivery Policy below for detailed information on how we handle orders.
1. Local Delivery
We offer free local delivery to the front door your dwelling or lobby for within a 40 km radius of our store located at 1440 Merivale Road, Ottawa, ON. Free delivery does not included stair case delivery, elevator delivery, this is an additional charge. There will be an additional charge for all Marble Dining Tables $100.00
Free Delivery does not include secluded and off road dwellings.
- Orders under $599.99 may incur a delivery fee, which will be calculated at the store level based on your location.
- Deliveries are typically scheduled within 10-21 business days ( BUT CAN TAKE LONGER depending on your item) of your order being processed, depending on product availability. For Quicker delivery and processing it is recommended to visit the store to place your order. Order fulfillment have take up to 90 days to fulfill depending on availability.
- We offer White Glove Delivery Service, where our professional team will deliver your furniture to the room of choice, setup and your furniture exactly where you want it. Please inquire about additional fees for this service.
- Free delivery does not include elevator transport, dwellings that have stairs. Extra charges will apply.
- There is a delivery fee on all Marble Dining Tables of $150.00. Once your order is placed the store will reach out to you with a link for payment.
2. Nationwide Shipping
For customers outside the Ottawa and Gatineau areas, we offer nationwide shipping across Canada.
- Shipping costs vary based on the size, weight, and destination of your order and will be calculated at checkout.
- Delivery Timeframes: Most orders ship within 10-21 business days, depending on product availability and your location. ( BUT CAN TAKE LONGER depending on your item) of your order being processed, depending on product availability. For Quicker delivery and processing it is recommended to visit the store to place your order. Order fulfillment have take up to 90 days to fulfill depending on availability. Again, Purchases made in store usually take less time. Please call or visit the store for more details.
- You will receive a tracking number or email notification via email once your order has been shipped, so you can monitor its progress.
3. Same-Day Delivery (Where Available)
For certain products, same-day delivery is available in the Ottawa area. Please contact us to confirm availability and schedule your same-day delivery. For quicker faster service, please visit the store.
- Orders must be placed before 12:00 PM to qualify for same-day delivery.
- Additional feeapply for same-day delivery services.
4. Shipping Partners
We work with trusted shipping and delivery partners to ensure your furniture arrives in perfect condition. In the rare event that your order is delayed or damaged during transit, please contact us immediately.
5. Delivery Scheduling
Once your order is processed, we will contact you to schedule a delivery date and time. If you need to reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance.
- Deliveries are available Monday through Sunday.
- You will receive a confirmation call or email the day before your scheduled delivery to confirm the time.
6. Furniture Assembly
For an additional fee, our delivery team offers furniture assembly services. We will unpack, assemble, and place your furniture in your home. If you’d like this service, please let us know during checkout or when scheduling your delivery.
7. Delivery Restrictions
- Our delivery team is unable to move or remove existing furniture from your home.
- Please ensure that the delivery path is clear and that your home is accessible on the scheduled delivery day.
- Deliveries to apartments or upper-floor units must be communicated in advance to ensure smooth delivery. Additional fees may apply for deliveries that require stair access.
8. Damaged or Missing Items
In the event that your order arrives damaged or incomplete:
- Inspect Your Order: Please inspect all items upon delivery. If there is damage or a missing item, notify the delivery team immediately.
- Report Issues: Contact our customer service team at +1 (613) 228-8639 or [email protected] within 48 hours to report any issues. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no extra cost.
9. Order Tracking
Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with tracking details. You can use the tracking number to monitor your shipment’s progress and estimated delivery time. If you have questions about tracking, feel free to contact us.
10. Shipping & Delivery Restrictions
- We currently only ship within Canada.
- We are unable to deliver to P.O. boxes.
- For remote areas, shipping fees and delivery times may vary. Please contact us to confirm availability and delivery times to your area.

– All deliveries require the customer to complete our Delivery Form, available in-store Delivery
– All items must be paid for in full before completing the Delivery Form.
– Delivery and furniture assembly are not included in the sale price and incur additional costs. Opting out of our assembly service will void the product warranty you damage it during assembly.
– Adult assembly is required for most products.
Damage to Property
Capital Furniture & Mattress and it’s associates are not responsible for any damage incurred during delivery. This includes scuffs on walls, staircases, doorways, door frames. Capital Furniture And Mattress are released for all and any other damages that may occur during a delivery.
Customer Responsibilities
– It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to inspect items prior to acceptance.
– Warranties do not cover wear and tear or abuse of furniture. Furniture is intended for home use only, unless otherwise specified.
– All floor models and clearance items are sold “as is.” The purchaser is responsible for inspecting the item before delivery. No refunds, repairs, or exchanges will be issued.
– If products received are damaged before assembly, the customer must notify the store within 24 hours to be eligible for exchanges and/or repairs. For more information, please see our Refund Policy on our website.
Delivery Information
– Capital Furniture and Mattress and its affiliates will do their utmost to ensure an easy delivery experience but are not responsible for any damage to property (private or otherwise) during delivery.
– The customer must be present at the delivery location unless otherwise specified in writing. A person at least 18 years of age must be present to allow the delivery crew access and to sign the delivery receipt/invoice.
– Items ordered online or through our website are subject to the same policies.
– Warranties are non-transferable.
Fitting and Returns
– Please measure your space and confirm that your items will fit through your doors, hallways, elevators, and stairwells. There are no refunds, returns, or exchanges on any goods that do not fit. It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that items will fit. If items must be returned to the store, an additional delivery and handling fee will be charged.
Delivery Cancellations and Rescheduling
– If you, the customer, or your alternate, are not available at the delivery location at the scheduled delivery time, the delivery will be canceled, and your purchase will be returned to the store without a refund. You may choose to pick up your delivery or schedule a new delivery date, which may incur additional delivery fees.
– For safety reasons, all children and pets must be kept clear of the delivery crew’s path, and all walkways must be free of ice and snow prior to delivery.
– We reserve the right to modify delivery dates based on operational requirements and logistical delays that are beyond our control. There will be no refund of purchase, delivery, or assembly fees if your delivery date is changed or canceled by either the customer or the store.
– All deliveries requiring the delivery crew to carry purchased items up or down stairs or to apartments with elevators are subject to extra delivery fees. Customers must ensure that their stairs are in good condition and free of damage. If outside, stairs must be clear of ice and snow. If there is no safe path for delivery, service will be refused.
Right to Refuse Service
– Capital Furniture and Mattress reserves the right to refuse service.
– All sales are final, non-refundable, and no exchanges or returns are allowed.
Safety and Unforeseen Circumstances
– Capital Furniture and Mattress retains the right to cancel a delivery on or at the time of the delivery date due to safety concerns or unforeseen circumstances that may jeopardize the safety of our delivery personnel.
